With two of the UK’s most renowned global acts AJ Holmes and The Hackney Empire with their London take on Congolese Soukous and Rumba and Latin Dub Soundsystem representing the best of Latin and UK urban sounds on the bill, plus exquisite video installations and decorations supplied by British Council darlings Your Mum. The Sea will be selecting the freshest latin rhythms, incorporating a variety of flavours from Dubstep to Cumbia, via London and Jamaica.

Los Chinches – London’s no 1 roots rockin psychedelic Amazonian Cumbia band. Last year they blew up at several top festivals including Bestival and Lovebox as well as kick ass gigs at the Barbican, Passing Clouds and Rich Mix’s own NYE fiesta! Already booked for several festivals and gigs in Spain and Croatia this year, 2010 is bound to be a hot year for them.

LIVE: Conjunto Sobroso

One of London’s top latin music bands with roots in Colombia, Venezuela , Peru, Cuba and beyond.  Lead by outstanding Colombian singer Luz Elena Caicedo and musically directed by multi-percussionist Wilmer Sifontes from Venezuela, they will digging into their repertoire  of Cumbia and Vallenato and are sure to bring down the house as did their sister band Afro America when they played at ALC last year.

Passing Clouds is one of Urgent’s favourite venues.
